ToggleThe reigning German champions have flown to Faro in Portugal to conduct a few training sessions in warm weather. Head coach Thomas Tuchel had promised to work not only on tactics but also on fostering team camaraderie during the training camp on the Algarve Coast and hence granted his players some time off on Tuesday afternoon. After lunch at the team hotel, star players Müller and Kane, along with Sven Ulreich, Konrad Laimer, and Eric Dier, indulged in a long-awaited round of golf on the course to refresh themselves.

In the evening, the coaching and backroom staff members played a padel tournament which is a combination of tennis and squash. Tuchel also actively participated alongside tennis enthusiast Manuel Neuer, Muller, Ulreich, and U17 World Cup winner Max Schmitt.
Tuchel will hope to forge a strong team spirit ahead of a busy period of fixtures for Bayern which sees them play three matches within a week, starting with a fixture against Werder Bremen on Sunday at home in the Bundesliga, followed by clashes against Union Berlin and Augsburg. They can hardly afford to slip up in the title race as Bayer Leverkusen are yet to lose a match and are four points ahead of them in the standings, although Bayern do have a game in hand.
